I found a new way of stretching after running - Static stretching.

The best place that static stretches will be at the end of my run as part of the cool-down, not at the beginning of a running session. Static exercises help bring our body back toward a state of rest and recovery and allow us to relax and lengthen the muscles that we have put under stress during my run.

Placing static stretches at the beginning of a training session, on the other hand, tends to interrupt the natural flow of an optimal warm-up and fails to prepare you fully for the dynamic movements that follow.

Dynamic Mobility exercises warm you up, stretch you out and keep you moving as you make the transition from resting to highenergy activity. You’ll feel a sense of warmth and relaxation in your muscles – and perspire lightly by the end of your five- to seven-minute warm-up period.

Dynamic Mobility exercises work on joints from your neck to your toes - and if you’re wondering why you should attempt to expand the mobility of your neck and shoulders when the ‘prime movers’ during your workout are probably your legs, wonder no more.

Since I do my run solo with no running body, it’s good to be aware of this new technique to prevent injury- this is called Sport Science.

I am very happy na hindi umulan kanina that is why I got this new running route early in the morning at started running at 4:00am. weeeeh!

I’ve been into running not to avoid from someone else but to build up a sufficient mileage base. My heart is now set on running a marathon - My Goal.

I am in a stage of building blocks together to be accustomed in running. I been into mountain climbing as my first choice of past time but since I am grounded at work and It would take much time and financial budgets before scaling high mountains in these regions - Mindano, I resorted to treat my itch on physical activities like joining all 5Km events held at Davao City. As far as I know, there are no skips  in joining those 5Km running events that happened between June 2007 onwards… rain or shine.

Since I am new to this, I am not concerned about my speed. However, being on the course of 5Km run for 30 minutes is harmful to my joints since haven’t got my formal intro in this field.

I embraced the mental and physical challenge of running since it really helps me boost my endurance, toned muscles, and prevent me from being a couch potato…

There are times that I get lazy waking up early in the morning for a jog before going to work, but determination defeats laziness - mind over body and I knew that our body loves to rest, steady in comfort but our mind dictates and overcomes that weakness - got discipline.

Ano kaya ang magandang gawin bukas? ang dami kong naiisip and hirap na nagcacalculate ang mind ko sa mga pwedeng gawin ko bukas …. my point is maging productive ang day ko.

Eto ang mga nasaisip ko:

  • Gumising ng maaga para mag run for about 5K.
  • Maglinis nalang sa bahay.
  • Pumunta sa mall at mag grocery ng kaunti.
  • Mag-iinternet buong araw.

Habang nagsusulat ako ngayon, sigurado na sa isip ko ang pag takbo… the rest of the day is hindi ko pa alam.
