February 2009

Nice sunshine on an early morning of February 1 and ready to release the tension and stress contributed by work. =)yeah work. hehe

I headed again to the highest peak of Samal Island, Puting Bato with my outdoor enthusiasts friends. I can never count how many times I visited the place and it seemed a normal place to visit like People’s Park – a little bit strenuous walk in a park. – mountain. heheh

The hike strek starts at 8am and the weather is cooperating – it’s not too hot nor cloudy on that morning.  We arrived at the peak at around 9:00 am and traversed down to the other side of the mountain on our way to Aundanao and guess where we will relax our tired muscles ? Beach – where else ? Canibad. hehehe

12 noon and we arrived at the beach and we we’re greeted by some of our friends who headed directly to the beach since they are bringing with them their lovely little angel.

We tested Sarahs’ new gadget – water protector for camera and all are indulging to be taken some pictures under the sea – sad to say I did not have any captured moments under the sea but I have one nice stolen shot photo taken by Alan and that’s  it. Need not to be posted, it’s a bit censored. hehehe

Anyway, rain poured while we’re still dipping and it’s a great way to enjoy and relax.

Again, Until next outdoor recreation relaxation. =)

Images will be posted soon. Just itching to write this.. heheh

mount_pulag2Proposed Logo for the climb

September of  last year, my climbing friends mostly freelance outdoor enthusiasts gathered and came up with  a decision to climb Mount Pulag with the 2,922 MASL at Benguet, Mountain Province touted as the third highest in the Philippines and the highest in Luzon.

Since I already bought my round trip  ticket for Davao- Manila – Davao flight  or 1,200 Pesos only,  it opened up the opportunity to wander in places I would like to visit. =)

Our group will be scheduled to ascend and aim for a two day climb on February 21- Saturday and be back the following day which falls on Sunday. All are arranged and well coordinated with the DENR Park Superintendent and all we have to do is to be there and be one with nature.

Our trail will be at Ambangeg, Kabayan, Benguet.

I will post soon my first north of the Philippines mountain escapade when I get back.
